DISC 1: "Buddha's Lost Children", 97 min. International Theatrical version. "Return to the Golden Horse", 52 min. covering director Mark Verkerk's return to the monastery one and half years after the film's release. He meets up with Abbott Khru Bah and the boys and screens the final version of the film to the community.
DISC 2: "Off the Cutting Room Floor" was produced in response to the flood of queries received after the initial release of the film. The disc comprises a fascinating interactive gallery of additional scenes — 3.5 hours of material broken up into 32 film clips grouped under 5 main headings: Character Sketches / Golden Horse Monastery / Trekking & Camp Life / Horses & Healing / Border Villages & Temples.
In addition you'll find video of the very first visit to the monastery, information on fund raising, teasers & trailers, and a 30 min. film called "Looking for Buddha" made by the director's daughter Cara Verkerk (then 15), after she joined her father and executive producer Pim van Collem on their first visit to the monastery.
